How Does the Canine Awareness Map™ Work?
The Canine Awareness Map™ is a personalized educational resource created specifically for your dog. The process is simple and begins with a few observations from you.
To get started, you will need an inexpensive infrared thermometer. Here is one from Amazon: Infrared Thermometer Gun -58°F to 788°F Range (Not for Human Body Temp) | Digital Temperature Gun for Cooking, BBQ, Oven, Engine, HVAC | Non-Contact Measuring & Backlit Digital Display
After purchasing your Canine Awareness Map™, you will receive detailed instructions by email explaining exactly where to take a series of temperature readings. The readings are taken around your dog's face and are quick, gentle, and well tolerated by most dogs. Many dogs become more relaxed after the first few readings. If your dog is particularly sensitive, you may wish to use a few drops of Rescue Remedy® beforehand to help encourage a calm experience.
Your purchase includes a PDF worksheet where you can record your dog's readings and answer a series of observation questions. Once completed, simply return the worksheet by email. You can print it, complete it by hand, and send us a clear photograph or scanned copy.
After reviewing your information, we will prepare your personalized Canine Awareness Map™ and return it to you as a PDF.
